Service contract for the provision of a technical secretariat for the group of notified bodies under the Marine Equipment Directive and an enhanced database for marine equipment approvals
The subject matter of the contract is the provision of a technical secretariat for the group of notified bodies under the Marine Equipment Directive and an enhanced database on marine equipment approvals. It is intended for the contracting of the following services:
— operation of a technical secretariat for the group of notified bodies performing product certification under the Marine Equipment Directive, as amended (MED),
— implementation of MED Article 10.4 requiring the Commission to maintain and update a list of approved products under MED. The outcome will help MED stakeholders to monitor: betterment of the MED implementation with regard to:
— MED Article 9 — designation of notified bodies,
— MED Article 12 — market surveillance strategy,
— MED Article 13 — safeguard clause investigations.
