Provision of electricity to EMSA premises
The subject of the contract is the provision of electricity to EMSA premises located at Praça Europa, Lisbon, Portugal. The procurement is launched as a consequence of the entry into force of Decreto — Lei 104/2010 which established that the energy market in Portugal is liberalised. As a consequence of the liberalisation, all energy consumers have a chance to benefit from the competition in the Portuguese energy market and may change their energy provider.
Subsequently, EMSA was informed that the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) has approved 13 energy providers licensed to operate on the Portuguese market.
