Lot 1: Supercritical CO2 Point Dryer 1 off.Lot 1 is a tender for a supercritical CO2 point dryer system that must be able to process up to 5 wafers (up to 8''-diameter) using liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2) as the transitional fluid. Applications include stiction-free, dry release of delicate micro- and nano-electromechanical systems (MEMS and NEMS) devices after sacrificial wet etching, effective drying of high-aspect ratio features (e.g. micro-machined trenches and buried channels) and biochemistry applications (e.g. denaturing).Lot 2: Compact Bench-Top Scanning Probe Microscope I 1 off.Lot 2 is a tender for a compact scanning probe microscope (SPM). This SPM should be an as-compact-as-possible system to allow characterizing various types of samples at both the INL facilities and outside. It must be robust, user friendly, cope with different sample sizes, and accommodate several types of tips, including specific designs fabricated at INL. It is to be used for nano-manipulation and observation in X, Y, and Z, automated scanning, nanolithography samples with different tip/sample interactions for applications in physical sciences, biology and materials research, as well as in process developments and offline monitoring.181 000
