- Dipole electromagnet with 100mm pole diameter able to reach a field of at least 1.5T at a pole gap of
20mm- 45 degree mounting frame, to allow vertical and horizontal access to the pole gap- Coil power supply with a maximum current noise level of +/-0.04%- The system must be able to monitor the field generated in the gap up to a magnitude of at least 2T.- The system must have a feed-back mechanism to ensure that the field readings in the gap match the set points provided by the user.- The system must be able to sweep the field magnitude and reverse the field direction automatically.- The system must include a control computer that can be used to set and monitor the fields being applied in the gap- The system must include a GPIB interface and must be able to be controlled via GPIB- All the required electronics must supplied within an electronics rack- All interlocks required for the safe operation of the system must be included (thermal interlocks, water flow interlocks, etc…)- The magnet must be compatible with a future upgrade allowing the magnet field direction to rotate vertically, around a horizontal axis.- The magnet footprint should be smaller than 70cm in any of the horizontal directions.- The magnet base must be prepared to be fixed into a breadboard table with 1/4-20 holes.
