The subject matter of this contract is the supply and installation of a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer system to the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory. The FTIR spectrometer system includes the following primary components: an FTIR spectrometer in an enclosure; a sample compartment; sources, beamsplitters, and detectors for the specified IR ranges; shutters, windows, mirrors, and other optical components required for operation in the different IR ranges and for switching between the different ranges, sources, and detectors; a cell for transmission measurements of liquid samples; a flow cell for temperature-controlled measurements; a single-bounce Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) module with a diamond ATR element; a horizontal ATR module with a ZnSe ATR element for multiple-bounce measurements of small-volume liquid samples; a variable-angle IRRAS module with polarizers for mid and far IR; electrical and electronic equipment required for operation and control of the system components; any pumps, tubing, manifolds and other gas and/or liquid handling equipment required for operation and control of the system components; a control computer; software for controlling the system, acquiring data, and analysing data.
