Study on the yearly updating of the regulatory provisions for the certification of the marine equipment listed in Annex A of the Marine Equipment Directive, as amended (DC 96/98/EC), and in Annex II of the EU–USA Mutual Recognition Agreement (Council Decision 2004/425/EC)
The study outcome shall provide EMSA with a technical rationale for assisting the European Commission to update both MED Annex A and the EU–USA MRA Annex II, annually. The technical rationale shall stem from the monitoring of the standardisation progress concerning the certification of marine equipment listed in MED Annex A.
The purpose of the contract is to obtain a study intended to update the regulatory provisions for the certification of marine equipment as listed at:
— Annex A of the Marine Equipment Directive, as amended,
— Annex II of the EU–USA Mutual Recognition Agreement for marine equipment.
The study shall provide the list of the regulatory provisions in their up-to-date version for the certification of marine equipment.
